Attention JavaScript Writers!

The SitePoint Network is sourcing authors for a new site focused solely on JavaScript.  As you may know, I’m a (somewhat) regular writer for SitePoint.  I’m happy to announce that I have been named the managing editor for their upcoming JavaScript site.  I can’t really mention the site’s name just yet, but it is scheduled to launch in early October 2012.

I think this site has a ton of potential, but of course we are going to need great writers to provide great content.  We are interested in all things related to JavaScript, but certain topic areas will receive special coverage.  These topics are:

  • jQuery
  • APIs
  • Tools and libraries
  • Engines
  • Node.js

We also intend to target the entire spectrum of JavaScript users, from complete beginners to advanced ninjas.

Contributing Articles

First and foremost, article submissions should be of very high quality, relevant, and focused on JavaScript.  Beyond that, articles should be between 500 and 1,500 words in length.  Longer submissions can be split into multiple articles.  As an author, you will be paid for every accepted submission.  Additionally, your articles, will include an author bio and links to your web site.  If the thought of having your work exposed to a global audience of web professionals excites you, then I encourage you to write for us.  If you are interested, please contact me directly.  You can also reach out to the folks at SitePoint, but you will ultimately be directed back to me :-)

  1. Colin, ping me offline and I’d like to chat with you about this. I run the Adobe Developer Center content on similar topic areas, but occasionally we partner with outside publications to publish content from our authors.
