This page contains a collection of various products that I have tried and recommend.  I promise to never recommend any products that I am not personally familiar with.

Improving Performance and Reducing Power with Hardware Acceleration: Static Timing Analysis Based Transformations of Combinational Logic in a High Level ASIC Synthesis Flow.  This is a book that I published with my academic advisor at the University of Pittsburgh.  The book presents research on a C to VHDL hardware acceleration compiler.

Compilers: Principles, Techniques, and Tools (2nd Edition).  The second edition of the famous “Dragon Book.”  This is pretty much a must have book for anyone interested in compiler design.  This was the textbook when I took my graduate level compiler design course.  It is definitely a theory heavy book.

Motorola Xoom Family Edition.  This was my first Android product ever, and I absolutely love it.  When it comes to tablets, everyone’s attention tends to migrate towards Apple’s shiny iPad.  Personally, my purchase came down to the iPad or the Xoom.  I went with the Xoom and I don’t regret it in the least.

La Crosse Technology Weather Channel Wireless Temperature Station.  I purchased this weather station as part of a Groupon offer.  A wireless sensor (included) is placed outside, which reports back to the weather station.  The station reports the indoor and outdoor temperatures, among other things.
